Spencer Castillo

Spencer co-founded Venice Search Partners in 2023 to offer a high-touch approach to scaling investment firms and high-growth operating companies. By applying an investor’s lens to the vetting process, he serves as a strategic thought partner to help VSP's clients achieve their long-term human capital goals at both the fund and portfolio levels.

Prior to VSP, Spencer spent six years as a private equity investment professional—predominantly with Oaktree Capital Management and Odyssey Investment Partners—focusing on buyout transactions within the industrials and business services sectors. He began his career in M&A advisory at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame.

Paul Quigley

Paul co-founded VSP to offer a practitioner-led approach to scaling venture-backed startups and venture capital firms. Drawing on his background as a technology operator and venture capitalist, Paul specializes in identifying technical, high-impact talent required to thrive in the early-to-growth stages of the technology ecosystem.

Prior to VSP, Paul spent six years at HOF Capital—joining as the first full-time analyst hire and helping grow the firm to over $1B in AUM through Principal—where he made investments into category-defining companies including Anthropic, SpaceX, and BillionToOne. He began his career at Addepar and Palantir, and holds a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University, where he also conducted research in the Stanford AI Lab.
